Our Last Team Meeting

The Mission Ethiopia team met last night for over an hour and a half. We have to skype (online video chat provider) Scott in for our meetings, and he was frozen in the same position on our computer screen for most of the meeting. It was pretty funny. Jamie challenged us with a devotion out of Luke 5, and he asked us tough questions concerning faith, specifically the strength of our personal faith in Christ. God spoke. Then we prayed for about 10-15 minutes as a team for Ethiopia, Sarnaa, each other, our church, Africa, and whatever else the Spirit laid on our hearts. It was an encouraging prayer time for me--refreshing. I love Jesus! We had a big task for this meeting. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church does everything based on tradition so they think you have to wear a cross to be a serious Christian. Or that one must remove his shoes in order to worship. So we have a sheet with 8 questions that will come up with Orthodox Christians in Ethiopia. We spent 30 minutes listing references to counter their tradition with God's Word. We are going to memorize each of those verses so we'll be ready to share truth whenever and wherever! Exciting... Everyone should also make sure you'll be at church on Nov. 22nd because our team has something fun planned for you; it's gonna be good! You might notice on the side bar a couple new blocks of information. Those are there for you to know exactly what we're doing to prepare and when we're meeting together. You could even come to one of our meetings if you wanted to and participate in our preparation tasks. But most importantly, we want your prayers--we NEED your prayers! Please take us before the Father and Ethiopia also. Peace n Blessings!
