Another Long-Awaited Post
Sorry this post is past-due, but hopefully you'll forgive us...but the team has been very busy in Honduras doing a very many things ranging from handing out school supplies to planting coffee. Wednesday was all about flexibility; that night the fuses to the lights on the bus blew out so the team didn't get to go to church in the village. So they stayed at the orphanage, had church with the girls and Scott preached. They've been to a few different schools and on Thursday even had to finish the trip up the mountain on foot because the bus got stuck in the mud. Bethany even said they had to walk back to the bus from the school uphill also. So you can walk to and from school uphill both ways! At each school the team has handed out school supplies, shared the gospel via our colored bracelets, and sang songs. Yesterday the team planted coffee plants in the holes they had dug earlier in the week. Jen Sandefur has taken on the role of team musician since I am no longer there, and has been doing just fine. No better time to step up than when you have to! But this trip has been all about flexibility--each day planned things get pushed aside and new opportunities have to be seized. Thank you for your prayers; please continue to pray for the team.
